Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark ruby colored Malbec from Argentina is very good. It opens with red plum and cranberry bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is similar to the bouquet with red plum and cinnamon as the primary flavors with hints of cranberry, minerality and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. This Malbec would pair well with a glazed balsamic roast pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Serie A Malbec is a blend of wines from 3 different sites, each providing an essential component that makes the wine more complete and complex. It is an intense and lively red-purple color. It also displays intense red ripe fruit aromas such as prunes and cherries, with black pepper and tobacco. We also detected chocolate, cherry liqueur, and spicy notes. On the palate, this wine is soft and velvety upon entry and has a lovely, juicy finish along with some firm tannins.
