Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and medium garnet, dark ruby colored Merlot from Whitehall Lane opens with a blueberry and raspberry bouquet with cinnamon, leather, and mint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with bright acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, plush, and a bit juicy. The flavor profile is a black cherry and black plum blend with notes of coffee, black currant, and graphite. We also picked up some hints of baking spice and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its flavors and medium tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this Merlot with your favorite steak burrito or with Italian meatballs. Enjoy - KWGTP
