Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Merlot finished in 2nd place in our mid-tier priced blind Merlot tasting. It opens with a ripe black raspberry bouquet with a hint of earthiness. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and silky. The flavor profile is a gentle oak infused black cherry with hints of plum. The finish is rather dry and its tannins are sticky and linger. This wine would pair very well with a messy rack of fatty Memphis styled ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright fruit notes of black cherry along with vanilla, coffee & chocolate reveal extra dimensions of depth and complexity. Rich & supple, with firm but integrated tannins.
