Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cab opens with a fragrant cranberry and red currant bouquet with a hint of menthol. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and well balanced between its acidity and fruit. The mouthfeel is smooth. The flavor profile is an extracted and juicy black raspberry and licorice blend. There was also notes of milk chocolate and a touch of oak detected as well. The finish is dry and its moderate fine tannins are slightly prolonged. This Cab would pair very nicely with veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Perfectly balanced, this favorite is loaded with dark fruit, black cherry, mocha and caramel. With a touch of cedar and vanilla on a velvety mid-palate co-mingled with lively tannins and a hint of violet. Full and velvety in the mouth with a lingering finish touched with flavors of sarsaparilla. Bright acidity yet gentle tannins, this wine is made for the cellar for up to 12 years.
