Wine Review: This pinkish orange colored wine opens with a mild tangerine bouquet with hints of watermelon, strawberry and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic, fresh and a touch effervescent. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused gentle tangerine with hints of red cherry and faint pink grapefruit. The finish is dry and very refreshing. I would pair this good value Rose with shrimp cocktail on a hot summer day. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rose is made with fruit from vineyards farmed expressly for the purpose of producing a rose. Only perfectly ripe, healthy grapes are selected. Upon harvest the fruit is given a brief maceration (4 to 6 hours) to extract a lovely salmon color from the Pinot Noir grapes. The resulting wine is light and refreshing, with deliciously bright fruit flavors and a clean, zippy finish.
