Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from V. Sattui opens with a gentle boysenberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of cigar box, pine needles, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, rich, and crisp. The flavor profile is marionberry and spiced black plum blend with notes of stone dust and herbal tea. We also detected hints of cedar, clove, and acai berry. The finish is dry, and its moderate chewy tannins stick around for a while. The Tasting Panel would serve this Pinot with smoked brisket. Enjoy – KWGTP
