Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Zinfandel from St. Helena opens with a very fragrant toasted coconut flake, black raspberry, and violet bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and really smooth for a Zin. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. It features brambly black raspberry pie and toasted coconut flakes blend with notes of fine stone minerality and triple sec. I also detected some hints of cedar and nutmeg in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its fruity flavors and acidity show nice length. It would pair this Zin with a Carolina barbecue platter. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2020 Quaglia Zinfandel has inviting aromas of wild plum and earthy dark cocoa followed by warm baking spices of cinnamon and nutmeg. Its soft acidity flows over the palate unveiling succulent layers of blueberry pie and vanilla that are elegantly balanced by rich toasted oak for a lingering finish.
