Wine Review: This opaque and pitch black colored Shiraz opens with a fragrant ripe blackberry bouquet with a hint of rosemary. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth, and nicely balanced. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry with notes of spice, licorice, and blueberry. The finish is dry and its berry flavors linger a bit. This wine would pair well with a NY Strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Black core with red/brick red rim. On the nose it shows elegant red and black fruits coupled with fine spice, floral and cedary oak. The palate is tight and full of restraint. The red fruits build slowly, creating a wonderful juicy richness through the palate, yet is extremely focused at the same time, supported by well handled oak. The flavours are long and juicy, balanced by firm but fine tannins and vibrant acid. This wine is from probably our best vintage to date and will need a few months to settle down, but will age over the medium to long term and will drink well for at least the next decade if cellared well.
