Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Malbec from the Uco Valley in Argentina opens with a blackberry and violet bouquet with hints of topsoil and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, lush, and rich. The flavor profile is a tasty, concentrated blackberry and mild oolong tea with notes of black cherry and mild oak. We also detected hints of black licorice. The finish is dry and its polished refined tannins drift away nicely. We recommend drinking this wine over the next couple of years as its peak is in sight. We would pair this Malbec with a venison steak or a bison ragu. Enjoy – Ken and Mark
