Wine Review: This impressive Chardonnay from South Africa opens with a complex nose of candied lemon peel, honeysuckle, slate and light oak. It is light gold colored, medium plus bodied, creamy, round, and elegant. Generous flavors of white peach, green apple, fine minerality, grass and hints of lime and buttered toast. The finish is long and lingers nicely. A poached salmon with caper butter sauce would go nicely. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: This Chardonnay displays bright aromas of mandarin orange and ripe honeysuckle. The palate is an array of citrus fruits with a hint of jasmine and hazelnut. The wine has great length and is nicely balanced with a clean, fresh lime-backed acidity.
