Wine Review: There is not much of this gem, but I thought it was so good, I had to tell you about it. This bright ruby colored Pinot opens with a very fragrant and attractive ripe red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, and quite elegant. The flavor profile is a delicious red raspberry with a dash of white peppery spice and mild oak. The finish is dry and its refined tannins drift along nicely. Tom told us that the grapes for this gem come from a vineyard on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It also sounds like a great place to drink it. It paired perfectly with our duck breast. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Tom Eddy Pinot Noir is a rich and luscious, yet wholly unique offering. Layers of spice intermingle with earthy notes that accentuate the wines natural strawberry and bright red fruit foundation. This wine has a big structure and intense flavor uncharacteristic of old world Pinot, but the fruit, spice and earth that permeate this wine exemplify what Pinot Noir is all about. Dynamic weather conditions produced deep and potent aromas and flavors within the berry brought out by fermentation and accentuated with just a hint of vanilla and spice from French Oak barrel aging. This wine has good aging potential but can be enjoyed immediately as well.
