Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Tuscany is very good. It displays a black cherry and new leather bouquet with a hint of fig and balsamic. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black cherry with notes of oak with a hint of blackberry towards the end. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are tame and linger nicely. This wine was well liked by all that tried it and paired very well with my Tagliatelle Bolognese at Davio's. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Youthful, rich dark fruit, berry and cassis aromas meld with notable French oak spice. On the palate, Valdisanti is full-bodied with deep but reserved fruit flavors framed by rich oak. The excellent balance of fruit intensity with fine tannins indicates a cellar worthy wine. Note: Some sediment may occur in the bottom of the bottle as the wine is not filtered.
