Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Titus opens with cocoa and black cherry bouquet with hints of baking spice, lingonberry, and pine needles. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with bright acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is cocoa and black cherry blend with notes of tobacco, light strawberry, and tea. We also detected some hints of oak, spice, and red plum in the mix. The finish is dry, and its moderate polished tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would serve this Cab Franc with filet mignon or with char-grilled rosemary lamb kabobs. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2021 Titus Cabernet Franc is expressive, fresh and an exciting example of one of our oldest bottlings. The aromas open with French plum, cherry, and Mexican chocolate while notes of clove, nutmeg and white flower are interlaced with the fruit. The wine is smooth and almost delicate on entry with nicely integrated tannins that have a subtle grip. Concentrated red fruits, strawberry rhubarb and dark chocolate are present leading to graphite and lavender on the finish. Enjoy through 2035.
