Wine Review: This very light strawberry red colored Pinot Noir from Talley is terrific. It opens with a gentle red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, refined and elegant. The flavor profile is a tasty mild strawberry with hints of red plum and faint oak. The finish is dry and its fine tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This finesse Pinot is very food friendly and would pair great with wiener schnitzel. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Rincon Vineyard is the home vineyard where Don Talley planted the first vines of Talley Vineyards in 1982. Brick red in color, the Rincon Vineyard Pinot Noir has aromas of dark plum, red licorice and baking spices. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine is juicy with notes of tart red fruit, spice, and chalky minerality typical of the site. The expression of bright fruit carries into a long mouthwatering finish. Enjoy this wine with glazed pork tenderloin or herb crusted lamb.
