Wine Review: This ruby red colored blend from Paso Robles opens with a strawberry and cranberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry with really nicely integrated minerality and mild oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and plum as well. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins linger nicely. This wine would be perfect with slow cooked beef brisket and creamy cole slaw. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 Patelin de Tablas marries the spice, mineral and structure of Syrah with the generous fruit of Grenache, the backbone of Mourvedre and the brightness of Counoise. Drink it now or over the next decade.
