Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Merlot from Napa Valley opens with a new leather and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black cherry with hints of oak, black licorice and red currant. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors are slightly prolonged. This Merlot is food friendly and would pair well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
