Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored wine opens with a fragrant ripe blueberry bouquet with hints of nutmeg and coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild blueberry with hints of black pepper and coffee. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slightly puckery. The panel suggested matching this wine with beef satay or a pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful deep violet color with exploding aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and violets framed by hints of oak and mint. The wonderful aromas are mirrored on the palate, and they are joined by ripe plum fruit and a hint of toasty vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, and a hint of mint on the finish. This is a ripe and rich style of wine, reigning in the fruit and focusing it into a long finish. A wine that truly struggles between its fun and serious side. Pairs well with a wide range of foods from beef and pork to meat-based pastas.
