Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Riesling opens with a lime like bouquet with a hint of petrol. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, vibrant, and racy. The flavor profile is a ripe lemon with notes of apricot and green apple. We found that both the sweetness and acidity in this offering was a bit on the elevated side. The finish is pleasant and refreshing. This would be a pleasant sipping wine for a hot summer day on the porch. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A characterfull, juicy, and fruity Riesling from the Saar Valley. This wine was especially late harvested. It has floral notes, such as elderflower and lilac combined with juicy and fruity acidity, something that you find in the Ockfener Bockstein wines year after year. Also, its silky structure reflects the grand terroir of this famous vineyard.
