Wine Review: This white gold colored Gewurz opens with a classic lychee bouquet. I also detected scents of wet stone and lily. On the palate, this wine is round and full bodied, while being crisp and acidic at the same time. The flavor profile is lychee fruit with notes of white pepper, mineral, a hint of peach and pitch of cinnamon. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine would pair well with Emeril's crab cakes. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A very special wine. Once tasted, never forgotten - so pleasing is its aromatic richness and strength. Fine spices, cloves and the gentle fragrance of roses characterise and emphasise the traits and the overall elegance of this impressive wine. It is here, on the hills between Termeno and Appiano, that the Gewürztraminer grape originated. The wine is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes, especially crustaceans, lobster and crab or to foie gras and other pates. Yet it is also a fine wine for enjoying on its own.
