Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a unique pineapple bouquet with a hint of anise and banana. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, slightly viscous and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty lime with notes of nicely integrated minerality and Anjou pear. There was also a touch of mild grapefruit in the background. The finish is dry and subtly drifts away. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with Coquilles St. Jacques. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc at its purest, opening with distinct notes of yellow apple, pineapple and barely ripe banana. A somewhat viscous texture carries the flavors of nectarines, orange blossoms and honeydews beautifully, and though there is no oak, the wine has a good sense of weight and flesh. With balancing acidity that keeps it crisp and snappy, the wine closes with a long lasting and satisfying finish.
