Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Shiraz opens with a mild boysenberry bouquet with a hint of blueberry and gentle smoky oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry jam with hints of integrated mild oak. The finish is dry and its mild tannins linger nicely. This wine is very food friendly and it would pair perfectly with a pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: On the nose, the 2010 Shiraz shows earthy gravel, spicy licorice and dense dark mulberries, while the sweet upfront berry fruit presented on tasting gives way to complex cedar, earth and spice notes, wrapping up with ample structure and grip. The vibrant, juicy fruit runs the length of the palate and lingers with a "have another glass" finish.
