Wine Review: This yellow colored Albarino from Rias Baixas is a very nice option to consider for summer. It opens with a lime and yellow grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, nicely acidic, juicy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused lime with hints of pineapple and pilsner beer. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Albarino is a real quaffer and would be perfect on a hot summer day at the beach. I would pair it with oysters. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright and aromatically complex, notes of ripe apricot, apple and wild flowers. Fresh and crisp with persistent lush textures on the palate. The finish is fruity and with mineral nuances. Our Albarino's fresh acidity makes it a fine contrast to foods that are rich, salty, oily, fatty, or mildly spicy. It also pairs nicely with tart foods such as vinaigrettes, capers, leeks, and tomatoes. The wine is an excellent accompaniment to fish and shellfish.
