Wine Review: The Mirabelle has a beautiful salmon hue to it. The nose with scents like raspberries, baked apples, cane sugar and rose petals is reminiscent of Schramsberg’s higher end wines. Although labeled as brut, this drinks just under Extra Dry showcases a ton of body - typical profile for a sparkler from California. The palate exhibits notes of rose petals, ginger, ripe nectarines, strawberries and rhubarb. The finish is well rounded with acidity that passes by and cleanses the palate without being too harsh. Mirabelle is just as much Schramsberg as their other wines are. Pair with a fruit tart. - Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: This bottling expresses generous fruit. Tropical aromas of mango and papaya, followed by nuances of pomelo and fresh cherry, are accentuated with notes of dried pineapple, hazelnut and warm brioche. The wine has bright flavors of red apple, orange, lemon marmalade and pineapple. The palate is crisp on entry, with a mouthwatering acidity and a long lingering finish.
