Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from Sbragia tied for first place in our big blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant mild cantaloupe bouquet with a hint of pineapple and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a pleasant gooseberry with hints of minerality, melon, and white pepper. The finish is dry and refreshing. The panel suggested pairing this very nice wine with grilled swordfish or lobster risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Dry Creek Valley Sauvignon Blanc is the first wine we harvest and bottle and thus marks the exciting beginning of another vintage for our family here at the winery. Its refreshing profile has made it a favorite around the country which we’re thrilled about. The 2011 has citrus and tropical aromas that are accented by bright flavors of green apple, grapefruit and lemongrass, and a lovely minerality that carries into a refreshing finish.”
