Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot has been a consistent performer over the years. The 2007 is even a little better than the last couple of vintages. It opens with a very fragrant black raspberry and strawberry rhubarb bouquet with hints of black pepper and black tea. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and very smooth. This Pinot displays forward and fruity black raspberry flavors that are quite tasty. We also detected hints of oak, black pepper, strawberry, and dark chocolate that added to its complexity. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are nicely integrated and controlled. This Pinot is very food friendly. We thought it would pair nicely with veal marsala. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of vibrant fresh raspberry, strawberry puree, coriander, sandalwood, orange peel and iron. Wild strawberry, cherry pit and cinnamon are built on rich chocolate tannins that carry on to a long espresso finish.
