Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby Cabernet from Washington State opens with a mild black cherry and tobacco bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, balanced, and soft. The flavor profile is an oak infused plum with hints of dark chocolate and pomegranate. The finish is rather dry and its extended tannins are quite sticky. The panel suggested pairing this Cab with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Reininger Cabernet Sauvignon is a romantic's dream! This Cab will win you over with an incredible bouquet of creme brulee burnt-sugar topping, lavender, wet cedar and a light dusting of cocoa powder and cinnamon. It is beautifully balanced, with savory flavors of Spanish olive, unsweetened baking chocolate, and blackstrap molasses. It is fantastic alongside dishes such as grilled beef with roast peppers and olives, or grilled mushrooms and red peppers over couscous.
