Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine opens with a shy cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and displays a pleasant soft and gentle mouthfeel. The flavor profile is an easy to drink mild black raspberry with notes of black cherry and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and easy going. This wine doesn't really remind me of classic Pinot Noir. However, it is an affordable and Good everyday red wine. So I am recommending it with burgers and pizza. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Winemakers found excellent harvest conditions in the Provincia Di Pavia in late August and mid September. The result was wines characterized by fresh cherry aromas and medium bodied fruit flavors. The 2009 Redwood Creek Pinot Noir delivers intense flavors of dark cherry, with notes of fruit, brown spice, and clove. Soft tannins give this medium-bodied wine a smooth finish. The subtleties in this food-friendly Pinot Noir will accentuate the earthiness of wild mushrooms, vegetables like eggplant and vegetarian dishes.
