Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel called Big River is very nice. It opens with a fragrant Devil’s Food cake and black raspberry ganache bouquet with hints of peppermint, oak, and coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe red plum with hints of black raspberry, peppermint, coffee, and milk chocolate. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for some time. This wine would pair well with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
