Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel opens with an inviting mild blueberry bouquet with hints of nutmeg and black olive. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and elegant for a Zin. The flavor profile is a gentle black raspberry with hints of oak, plum, black pepper and blackberry. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. The panel suggested pairing this food friendly Zin with prime rib or short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: In 2009, Teldeschi Zinfandel's powerful aromas of black cherries, coffee, caramel, and vanilla as well as other sweet dark fruit scents, combine to create the classic character of a great Dry Creek Benchland Zinfandel. Rich flavors of sweet cherry liqueur, vanilla, and smoke lead to a ripe, dense, long, and bright fruit finish.
