Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant ripe blackberry bouquet with hints of creme de cassis and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is ripe blackberry with notes of integrated oak and plum. I also detected hints of cherry and licorice in this complex Zin. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are a bit sticky and a touch hot. This Zin would be perfect with barbecue steak tips grilled while camping on the Lake George Islands this summer. Enjoy - Ken
