Wine Review: This dark ruby Pinot for Australia opens with a mild black raspberry and black cherry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, and very easy going. The flavor profile is a lightly oaked black cherry with hints of black raspberry, black pepper, and plum. The finish is dry, a bit tingly, and a touch of oak lingers on after it is gone. This is a pleasant and easy drinking entry level Pinot. It would pair well with pizza with onions and mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep, vibrant crimson in color. The nose offers distinctive Pinot Noir spice and vibrant cherry and raspberry fruits with subtle vanillin undertones derived from oak maturation. Supple and smooth, the palate displays lashings of sweet fruit, finely polished tannins and balanced acidity that provides a finely poised backbone, great length and impressive focus.
