Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Shiraz opens with a ripe blackberry and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and loaded with up front ripe fruit. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry with integrated dark chocolate and oak. The finish is dry and its sticky moderate tannins linger for a bit. Pair this Shiraz with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark crimson in colour with a rich red hue. The aroma is varietal with vibrant blueberry / raspberry fruit, with complex mocha nuances and subtle but well integrated smokey oak. The flavour is rich displaying strong varietal fruit flavours and silky smooth tannins. The restrained oak compliments the soft and rich middle palate which leads to a smooth and lengthy finish. The 2008 is a medium to full bodied style of wine with a solid structure.
