Wine Review: This slightly opaque and ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a black cherry bouquet with notes of black currant and a touch of oak and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a fruit forward black currant with integrated oak and plum. I also detected a touch of clove. The finish is quite dry and its substantial tannins are sticky and last for quite sometime. I would pair this Zin with grilled barbecue steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright ruby in color with hues of magenta and rose. The nose is loaded with cherry cola, classic briar berry fruit, and a hint of white pepper. The palate builds with brilliant notes of razzleberry pie (raspberry and blackberry), toasted macadamia nuts and a hint of cinnamon. This is an elegant wine with a lengthy finish, bright acidity and well-structured tannins. Drink now or age for 5-7 years.
