Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Merlot from Washington State opens an inviting blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, extremely well balanced and smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry and black licorice blend with hints black pepper, nicely integrated old oak and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This terrific Merlot paired perfectly with our filet at Ruth Chris in Boston. Cheers – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich and expressive, yet graceful, this intensely aromatic Merlot displays a wide array of mouthwatering flavors, including ripe blackberries, dark plum and baker's chocolate. Sweet tannins and a velvety texture persist across a lengthy finish.
