Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Merlot opens with a mild boysenberry bouquet with a hint of mild oak and plum. On the palate, it is initially tight, but it improves quickly with some swirling and air. Once it opens up, it is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black currant with hints of anise, black pepper, minerality and boysenberry. The finish is dry and it's currant flavors and very mild tannins linger slightly. This wine would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Wonderful intensity of fruit, with a vivid array of black currant, cocoa, violet and smoky aromas that lead to a full-bodied mid-palate marked by ripe blackberry flavors. Rich and complex, yet pure and focused, with supple tannins that provide a silky and prolonged finish.
