Wine Review: This wine is very dark for a Pinot Noir. It is deep purple colored and opaque. It wine opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with a hint pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is black cherry with infused vanilla oak and notes of blackberry and blueberry. The finish is dry and it mild fruit flavors linger for a while. This Pinot definitely benefits and opens up with some air. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A deep, garnet hue provides a striking prelude to an aromatic symphony of black raspberry, vanilla and fresh-baked brioche. The palate, silky and well-balanced, weaves together fresh-picked blackberry, dark red cherry and anise with floral notes. Plum and boysenberry harmonize with Darjeeling tea over the long, expressive finish supported by firm, round tannins.
