Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Cab was the winner of our first blind Cab tasting. It opens with a mild black currant bouquet with a hint of smoky oak. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, well balanced, smooth and silky. The flavor profile is a yummy black currant with notes of black pepper and a hint of oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger for a while. The panel suggested pairing this gem with the Kobe Cap steak at Grill 23. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet in color with aromas of red and black currants, this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon opens with tightly-knit flavors of boysenberry and black cherry. Plump blackberries, baker's cocoa and spice step in to take center stage, as firm tannins and subtle oak notes round out a velvety finish.
