Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from Rioja opens with a red cherry bouquet with hints of plum and light oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a dried cherry and mild mineral blend with notes of plum. I also detected hints of pomegranate and chai tea in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle tannins linger for a very long time. This wine would pair well with a Charcuterie platter and some sharp cheeses. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Lively and lucid, this wine has supple aromas of fresh orchard fruit, wild berries and ripe blood oranges. Fruit-forward and round on the palate, the aromas found on the nose are mimicked in the mouth and include additional notes of sweet spice and raspberry jam. Meant to drink now through the next four years, this consumer-friendly wine can be served slightly chilled and is the perfect accompaniment to any dish.
