Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Zinfandel from the Green & Red Vineyard opens with a gentle cedar, blueberry, and cherry bouquet with hints of dark chocolate, mint, black coffee, and bay leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, rich and concentrated. The flavor profile is blueberry and stony minerality blend with notes of cedar and black cherry. We also detected hints of blackberry tea and stony minerality. The finish is dry and its refined tannins and fruit flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with a grilled hanger steak or braised short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP
