Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a pleasant and inviting pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a mild green apple with hints Anjou pear and minerality with a kiss of lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger well after the wine is gone. This wine would be a perfect companion for grilled swordfish kabobs with vegetables. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: With each vintage, we want Oberon Sauvignon Blanc to show bright natural acidity and fresh flavors. We also want an underlying richness and complexity that balances the wine and adds fullness to the mouth-feel says winemaker Tony Coltrin. The 2012 vintage includes a large percentage of Sauvignon Musque clone grown in the Oso Vineyard, which adds another layer of richness and expressive aromatics to the blend, starting with citrus notes with underlying pineapple and developing into orange blossom.
