Wine Review: The folks from Newport have done it again. They have made another terrific Sauvignon Blanc. This year's vintage might even be their best yet, although I scored it the same as their impressive 2006. It is pale yellow colored and it opens with an attractive mild grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, it is light bodied, balanced, and a little lively. The flavor profile is a very tasty of dry citrus style with notes of mild lemon, light apricot, and pear peaking through. The finish is off dry and very very refreshing. Pair this Sauvignon Blanc with 5 fruit chicken. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Dry, with hints of passionfruit and gooseberries, with a crisp, palate-cleansing finish. Sancerre style.
