Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel opens with mild red currant and gentle black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is an old oak influenced black raspberry with hints of black licorice and coffee. The finish is dry and its oak tannins are moderate and slightly prolonged. This Zin is food friendly and would be perfect with a juicy thick bacon cheeseburger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In Liar's Dice Zinfandel, we've created our most passionate wine. One that's so luscious and juicy, it'll leave you wanting more. Our 2009 vintage is a combination of both Dry Creek and Alexander Valley fruit. The Alexander Valley fruit imparts rich flavors of black cherry and blackberry jam. The Dry Creek grapes contribute black raspberry and currants. Soft, round tannins perfectly balance the sweetness of the fruit. Liar's Dice was made for the backyard barbeque. It sings when paired with lip-smacking baby-back ribs, pulled-pork sandwiches, burgers or anything that combines sweet and spicy flavors.
