Wine Review: One of the best values to come out of our first Big Blind Tasting of sparklers is the Mumm Napa "Brut Prestige." This faint yellow colored sparkler with very small bubbles was well received by every member of the tasting panel. It opens with a woodsy faint gala apple bouquet with a hint of peach. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is lemon verbena with hints of minerality, stone fruit and grapefruit. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. We would serve this sparkler at a wedding for sure, as a second glass is a must! The panel suggested pairing this sparkler with quiche Lorraine tart appetizers. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A complex assemblage of primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Brut Prestige opens with gorgeous layered white blossom aromas, followed by creamy vanilla, citrus, stone fruit and melon. With elegant acidity and crisp structure, this medium-bodied sparkling wine displays an excellent mousse and a rich, lingering finish. Refreshing acidity and fruit character makes Brut Prestige an excellent food wine.
