Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is very good. It opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit and gooseberry bouquet with hints of wet stone in the background. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tart yellow grapefruit with notes of orange and apricot mixed in. I also picked up a touch of pineapple and papaya towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This fruit cocktail styled Sauvignon Blanc would pair nicely with a honey baked ham. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pure aromas of crushed citrus, snow pea and ripe grapefruit are delivered with elegant structure and balanced acidity. A perfect drop with friends and BBQ seared scallops.
