Wine Review: This orangish pink colored wine from Mendocino opens with an inviting mild strawberry and watermelon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely acidic, juicy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused tangerine and strawberry blend with notes of white pepper and watermelon. The finish is dry and its lively flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged. Enjoy - Ken

Cork Lore: A cork tree must be at least 25 years old before its bark can be harvested the first time, but it cannot be used for wine stoppers until the third harvest. Cork trees can be stripped of their bark no more than every 9 to 12 years. In one harvest, enough cork is removed from the average tree to make 4,000 wine stoppers.
