Wine Review: This dark ruby red colored wine from the Toro region of Spain opens with an attractive mild red raspberry and strawberry bouquet with a hint of cedar and white chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and rather elegant. The flavor profile is a juicy plum and chewy blackberry with notes of cherry vanilla and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its substantial building tannins show excellent length. We thought this wine would pair well with a thick cut of prime rib or lamb sautéed with snow peas in olive and sesame oil. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the glass, it looks intense cherry red rimmed in shades of purple. Clean and bright with intense layers. On the nose, aromas of fruit, blackberries and plum, powerful, clean and fresh with depths of balsamic and roasted notes provided in the background by the French oak, in a perfect assembly. On the palate shows great balance and amplitude. Elegant and fleshy, with a perfect fit between the mature fruit and wood tannins. Serve around 18 º C, decanting it 30 minutes before enjoying it.
