Wine Review: This pale straw colored opens with a ripe yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of clementine peel. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty yellow grapefruit with notes of mild lime, gentle minerality, and subtle clementine. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely after the wine is gone. This Sauvignon Blanc would pair well with broiled scallops drizzled with a lemon butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley Hudson Sauvignon Blanc offers aromas of ripe papaya and crisp lemon with a hint of vanilla. The palate provides great balance between zesty, bright acidity and a lush, creamy texture. Cascading notes of melon, honeysuckle and tropical fruit carry on to a long, integrated finish. This wine is crafted to drink immediately upon chilling.
