Wine Review: This dark yellow colored dessert wine from Macari is fantastic! It was my favorite wine that I discovered on Long Island. It opens with a lemon and ginger like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and concentrated. The flavor profile is a delicious ripe pear with notes of apricot and honey. I also detected a hint of candied ginger. The finish pleasantly sweet and fades away nicely. This wine would be perfect poured over vanilla bean ice cream or with macaroon cookies. Enjoy - Ken
