Wine Review: Macari is a Long Island winery that sources the grapes for its Riesling from the Finger Lakes. Good idea and it paid off. This light white gold colored wine opens with a lime and mild grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, mostly dry and crisp. The flavor profile is a mineral infused tart green apple with notes of ruby red grapefruit and a touch of apricot in the background. The finish is dry, refreshing, and its mineral and grapefruit flavors linger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Pale straw Nose: Honeysuckle, petrol and orange blossom with a hint of peach. Palate: Grapefruit and citrus with a vibrant acidity.
