Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from Rioja opens with a pleasant plum and blueberry bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, easy to drink and approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle oak and raspberry blend with notes of mild minerality. I also detect hints of plum and dried blueberry. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This a very good everyday wine that would pair nicely with many foods. I would pair it with a shrimp and chicken paella. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Cherry red colour. Marked fruity character on the nose, with aromas of strawberry and banana and hints of vanilla, cedar wood, fallen leaves and balsamic aromas. On the palate, it is enveloping and dense with potent but round tannins. The aftertaste brings back fruit notes and an acidity that gives freshness to the wine.
